Children play joyfully outdoors on a sunny day, jumping and chasing large soap bubbles against a bright blue sky. The scene is full of movement and colour, with kids of different ages and backgrounds laughing and reaching for the bubbles on a lively waterfront plaza.

Andreas Feydt (NO)

Andreas Feydt is a photographer from Oslo and member of Oslo Street Photography Collective.

A bit reserved and shy, he has always gravitated toward the sidelines – observing people and the small stories unfolding around him. Combined with his interest in modern history and his admiration for photographs that captured everyday life in decades past, it was natural that his own work would move in a similar direction.

Building the confidence to take the photos he truly wanted wasn’t easy and took time. It wasn’t until he was bitten by the travel bug about ten years ago that things shifted; exploring new places gave him the courage he needed, comfortably disguised as a tourist. A disguise he also found just as useful back in his hometown of Oslo.

Andreas’ photography often seeks the unusual in the usual – rarities in daily life, humour, strange coincidences, and so on. At times, though, it may simply just be a scene that he finds visually pleasing.
